Hey! I'm Benjamin
I believe that all people are born equal irrespective of their color, race, affiliation, gender or be they straight or not. Through my life experiences ignited a passion for social justice and advocating for those who don't have a voice. I believe all people have hope and future, to dream and become. In pursuit of a better tomorrow, I've had the pleasure to partner with dynamic people to spearheaded social justice health efforts internationally.
I believe that the foundation of a promising future is anchored on the young people. As a young advocate and leader, it's been said that I demonstrate great passion, professionalism, and commitment to many domestic and international organizations that support the youth movement in social justice. I've organized several campus and community events to educate peers about sexual and reproductive health and right issues, such as HIV/AIDS, sexual violence sexuality, and health relationships. To educate and empower my peers, I've also contributed to publications like HIV plus Magazine, HIVEqual, Poz Magazine, and A&U Magazine and been a social media influcer about health equality and the impact of health disparities among millennials.
Luckily my work hasn't gone unnoticed; I've received many awards such as the prestigious 2016 Honor41 award highlighting me as a top leader in the LGBTQ Latinx community and included in the 2015 “15 HIV Advocates to Watch in 2015”.
